Store Manager
The Agriculture Equipment Store Manager will be responsible for managing the parts department, the service department, and the sales department. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in managing a team. The duties and responsibilities of this position are not limited to what is listed below.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall performance of the store and ensure that it meets revenue, gross margin, and profit & loss goals as defined in the annual and monthly profit plan.
- Manage customer relationships, the productivity of department staff, and the quality of service.
- Create and encourage effective communication with customers and all employees of N&S Tractor
- Resolve any and all customer situations
- Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and direction to the staff to achieve department goals, by promoting the company vision, mission, and culture within the store.
- Follow established company policies and procedures, and clearly communicate company expectations to department staff.
- Enforce shop safety practices and manage within OSHA guidelines.
- Responsible for the safety of all personnel and must be fluent with all company policies as outlined in the company handbook.
- Execute the recruitment, hiring, training, discipline, and firing to ensure that the store is staffed with competent employees (within approved budgets and Store Manager approval).
- Manage the appearance, upkeep, and security of the shop and related facilities.
- Make sure all building maintenance is completed and kept in acceptable condition.
- Complete safety walks through the shop on a daily basis. Check and repair any hazards
- Make recommendations to the General Manager on staffing and compensation requirements within the department.
- Inform the General Manager in a timely manner of any issues related to the store operations.
- Attend required meetings as scheduled.
- Create a team environment between all departments service, parts, sales
- Make sure all employees have work to complete, are on task, and are working when on the clock. Manage break times
- Make sure all the employees they manage come to work on time, dressed in a professional manner and ready to greet the customer
- Review recovery and efficiency rates, ensure all technicians are constantly improving
- Responsible for any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three-years progressive experience in farm equipment service operations recommended.
- Managerial or supervisory experience recommended.
- Related mechanical experience will be considered.
