Parts Manager
Job Description:
Responsible for supervision and management of department set forth by management. Develop and implement parts sales, inventory plans, ensure profitable and efficient operation of department. Train and direct all parts department Employees. Responsible for the accurate, timely processing of paperwork related to billing, invoicing, payroll, and other departmental documents. Utilize the dealer business system to generate appropriate inventory orders that result in acceptable fill rates at the counter, turns on the asset, and meet stock order efficiency targets as provided by the Corporate Parts Manager. Any and all job duties/responsibilities assigned by Corporate Parts Manager.
Essential Requirements:
In depth knowledge of parts ordering procedures, receiving, and stocking. Knowledge of computer system used to order, receive, and charge out counter and shop sales. Good interpersonal skills, organization, and managerial skills.
- Maintain and assure dependable and efficient staffing at the inside parts counter supporting the parts requirements of our service department and retail customers for agriculture parts.
- Responding to all incoming counter, phone sales, product inquires, emphasizing salable features, quoting prices, and preparing sales orders.
- Use and understand a business and inventory computer system to generate sales orders as received, track and expedite for delivery, pick-up, or will-call.
- Handling cash transactions, maintaining records, literature, brochures, lists, catalogs, bin tickets, and price sheets as appropriate for your prompt reference.
- Assisting in stocking the showroom as well as maintaining general appearance of the showroom and counter/office areas.
- Recording and placing in inventory all incoming supplies, parts, units, and components.
- Identifying correct part numbers, completing order forms, and recommending related items at point of sale.
- Financial projection/budgeting, meet Company KPI’s.
Marginal Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of agriculture equipment and supplies. One year of college or technical school, or 3 years of related experience or training.
